The Crunch is Over!

Making games isn't easy.  It's a HUGE undertaking.  It's very similar to film in that respect.  This is especially true with AAA games like Uncharted 4 (which is the game I just completed).

We "crunched" hard on this game.  It was extremely difficult.  It was the hardest thing I've gone through in my life.  It tested me mentally, physically, creatively, emotionally, etc.  It was an incredible experience, but it came with a cost.  Hopefully, when the game comes out May 10th, the hard work will be worth it!  I think people are going to really enjoy the last Uncharted!

Life is an incredible gift.  I realize it more now than ever before.  I think that's because I have lost so much of my life during crunch.  Now, just getting to go home at a reasonable hour is a gift.  Having a Saturday off is such a joy!  I'm absolutely loving life right now!

On that note, I'm hard at work getting my next sound effects library going!!  I have a couple of trips planned in the next few months to go record some forest ambience (in various locales).  I'm excited to get some more libraries up and running, and I can't wait to share with you guys!
